International Mining Forum to be held in JSW for the first time!

The International Mining Forum will take place on 28-30 June 2017 in the Pniówek mine belonging to Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

The JSW Management Board’s intention is for this conference to be accompanied by the launch of the Company’s newest initiative, namely a research and development center under the name of the Jastrzębskie Center for Innovation and Development - JSW INNOVATION. The newest company forming part of the JSW Group will be a comprehensive research and development institute operating for the benefit of the overall Group and focused on collaborating closely with Poland’s scientific community.

The Rybnik Branch of the Polish Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians is the main organizer of IMF 2017. The Ministry of Energy and the Embassies of Australia, Canada and South Africa are patrons of this event.

This conference to be hosted by Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa in 2017 was established in 2004 through the efforts of the Polish Academy of Science and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.

“This year’s forum to be held in one of our mines is intended to serve as a platform for exchanging scientific thought and practical engineering solutions with the participation of representatives of the mining community from many countries”, says Daniel Ozon, acting CEO of JSW. “This forum will be an excellent opportunity to establish direct business contacts, do reconnaissance on sales markets and conditions for pursuing investments and solidify good and long-lasting relations. We are confident that this meeting between Poland and the World in the form of technology-based dialogue will open new doors for innovative solutions in automation, computerization and monitoring of the overall mining process”, adds Mr. Ozon, CEO.
